Colourful Soles is your number one company for dyeable wedding shoes, evening, and prom shoes at discounted prices! Our shop is unique in that we custom dye for you. We strive for the closest match possible and will give you the option to approve your custom dye before we dye your shoes. When you send in your swatch, please note if you would like final approval before dying. It is important that you understand as stated in our RETURN POLICY dyed shoes are not returnable.

Fabric swatches ideally should be at least 1" by 1", but larger is preferred. A long & narrow swatch from your dress hem is also acceptable. Send swatches through regular mail with your order#, and your indication of indoor or outdoor light, to:

Important Note: Dyed footwear can look different from indoors to outdoors due to the ultra violet rays outdoors. Products dyed peach, beige, or taupe will look pinkish outdoors. Those dyed gray can look purplish outdoors. Colors change in different light settings due to the fabric being dyed. Please note your light preference (indoor or outdoor) when sending in your swatch. Also note that the exact color matches will look slightly different on different fabrics. If there are any questions about this, please call our shop at 513-984-3939.

The dye used on your footwear is water-soluble. The dye can bleed or stain if it is exposed to water or heavy moisture. This can be prevented by using a water repellent spray. This is the best protection against staining, but it will not necessarily make the footwear waterproof. Please be aware that if you do spray your footwear you will not be able to re-dye them to Black later.

Dyed shoes will be sent to customer approximately 14 days after receipt of swatch. No Returns or Exchanges on worn or dyed items, or decorated shoes. Please feel free to contact us with any further questions regarding dyeing!

Bring ‘em back, we’ll dye ‘em Black

If you live in the Tri-State area, bring your shoes back after your event and we will gladly dye them to Black for you. Please note: Shoes or handbags that have been sprayed with water repellant cannot be re-dyed.

Once your shoes are dyed black, we suggest that they be sprayed with a water repellant suitable for fabrics.
